Science Galore!

Second graders have recently enjoyed two science experiences. First, second grade classes traveled to the Museum of Science in Cambridge, which was a fun-filled day of learning and exploration.

Last week, thanks to the generosity of our PTO, second graders enjoyed a visit from The Discovery Museum. The boys and girls learned all about the physical properties of matter.

We love science!

Kindness is Contagious!

After reading What Does It Mean to Be Kind? written by Rana DiOrio,

students brainstormed ways to promote kindness at Cole School.

Next, they created beautiful kindness posters that will be hung up in the hallways. 

They worked together as teams to create a catchy title, 

illustrations, paintings, and words to represent their ideas. 

The boys and girls are very proud of their efforts, 

and can't wait to see their posters decorating the school!

Day One Fun!

We had a fantastic first day of school! 

Our classroom was full of second grade smiles while students learned classroom routines and expectations. It was so nice to start to get to know one another during our first day together!

We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning and fun in Room 213!

First Day of School

I am looking forward to greeting students tomorrow for our first day of school!

We are going to have a wonderful day getting to know one another!

Dismissal is at 1:15 with lunch served.

Please remember to send your student to school with a snack, water bottle, and be sure to review afternoon dismissal plans to ensure that children know how they are getting home.

Welcome to Second Grade!

Enjoy the last few weeks of summer vacation! 

I can't wait to begin our year together in second grade!

Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 28th. It is an early release day with lunch being served.
