100th Day of Second Grade!

Today was our 100th day of school!

We covered our classroom door with 100 things we love.

Family, friends, pets, our classroom, rock collections, elephants, and sports are just a few of the special things we love so much!

We counted to 100 while making our gum ball machines!

Students made "100 Hats" at home and proudly wore them for our special day.

Hunter's friendship pin hat was awesome!

Evan and Gabby made quite the coordinated pair!

Counting by 5s, 10s, and 20s made this task a breeze!

Dancing while counting to 100!

Rolling dice 100 times and gathering data on numbers rolled took a while! We will have to finish on Friday!

Happy hooligans on our Hundredth day!

Audubon Adventures

Our class joined first graders in Mrs. Frost's class to explore winter with our friends from the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary.

Students learned about animal behavior during the winter, and also found out about making maple syrup!

It was a wonderful morning full of learning!

Day of Play at Cole School

Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning,
but for children play is serious learning.
Play is really the work of childhood.

-Fred Rogers

Students had so much fun during their morning of play yesterday!

Lots of creativity, problem solving, and teamwork was observed during this time.

Thank you to our class photographer, Evan, who captured many fun moments of busy play!
